"Look at me I'm the King of New York!"

Aw music. One of the greatest joys in life! Without music, most people claim not to be able to live. I don't know if I would classify myself as one of those people, simply because I don't want to but truly music is a wonderful thing.
Of late I've been listening to Adam Lambert alot. I love the dude. He has such an amazing voice and most of his songs are up beat and catchy. You know, those toe tappers and hand snappers. I also love Adam himself because I love how he's got his own style even though I hate his new haircut. He just does things his own way and doesn't really give a crap to what people say. I wish that I could be one of those people yet there are very few of us who actually don't care about what people think. My mom's stalker *cough cough* I mean, friendly student, gave her some burned CD's of the top four of American Idol last year so I've been playing Adam none stop. My mom's "friendly student" also went to the Idol tour last year and she gave my mom a picture of Adam Lambert signed by the man himself which she promptly gave to me.
My friend Kylie introduced me not that long ago to a band called Matchbox 20 and a man named Rob Thomas. I really like this guys voice. Although I do like Rob more than the whole collective band, they have some really good songs I had heard before but had never known who sung.
I've been getting more into Bon Jovi. I love the dude but I had really only heard his main songs like "Living On A Prayer" and all that so I went and looked up some of his lesser known songs.
I've been getting back into Panic! At The Disco. I used to like them alot more but I kind of drifted off as new songs came out. The band doesn't have any new music because they recently broke up ( :'( ) but their old stuff is still good.
Speaking of music, let's talk about musicALS!
I went to the school musical and it was really good. My friend Hannah was in it and she played the part way well! Everyone else also did good all though I didn't like the lead girl and the lead guy was only an okay singer. I don't freakin get why schools always have to do musicals. Okay, I know its so that the school can incorporate singing and acting but still! There are some wonderful children that can act [like um ME!!(without bragging of course)] and can't sing so they never get a chance to be in the play because they only choose people that can sing. Half the people on stage have okay voices but can't act worth crap. I would complain but I don't know who to complain to. And if it's my principal, I'm going to keep my opinions to myself because he scares the CRAP out of me. So did our principal last year but she was mean. This guys nicer but...i don't know, maybe I'm just scared of authority figures.
Has anyone ever seen Newsies? We had to watch it in seventh grade for choir (along with fiddler on the roof which I'll get to in a minute) and Brittney, Kylie and myself absolutly fell in love with it. I proclaimed the lead, a young Christian Bale which we didn't know at the time, my sexy man. We later found out it was Christian Bale and I flipped. I had no idea it was a young Batman!
A little side note: did you know that Sirius Black from the Harry Potter movies plays Commisioner Gordon in the Batman movies? My mom had to look at two pictures before she could see it. Did you also know that Barty Crouch Jr from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is to play the Riddler in the third Batman?
Then their is Fiddler On The Roof (we had to watch this in choir too) which is such a wonderful tale. The song "If I Were a Rich Man" is the best ever; right up there with "King of New York". Brittney, Kylie and I laugh at the way he dances in this song and copy it constantly. Then there are the characters. We were all one of Tevye's daughters. I forgot which ones we each were but we all couldnt pronounce Tzeitel's name so we just made weird hissing/chomping/grunting noises whenever we mentioned her.

LOL! I think I want to hang out with you and Kylie and Brittney for an afternoon. You guys are funny. I agree that music is awesome. Glad you give me recommendations, too.

Love it! I agree that they need to do a play and not only a musical, or at least have more non-musical parts in the musical. Hmm... I haven't seen Fiddler on the Roof since like 7th grade. Maybe I'll have to watch it again. :)
