I was hanging with my homie-gs today and we got on the subject of school. We talked about the new school and how frightening it is and how the AB schedule will be confusing and why do we have to have two floors and I really didn't want to talk about any of it and my peep Hannah is just like "Oh yeah, there's only 24 days left till school starts."
Wow.
That was a pretty big bomb shell and she just dropped in the middle of the conversation. I mean, I swear, it was like she was talking about the weather or something she's just like "Oh yeah, lovely weather by the way only about 24 days left till all your hopes and dreams are crashed and your stuck and in a hot cramped building with who knows how many other people so you might as well just shoot yourself in the head cause that would be a lot easier than enduring that for a whole year. So yeah, how bout them Mets?" I mean, I know it has to come to an end at some point but do ya really have to drop it down like that? You know, it's hard to ignore it all when school shopping comes and you get your schedule but when you start talking about how many days are left, really, it's like you actually WANT it to come back. I said back to her I was like, "NO WHY MUST IT END?!" All dramatically and full of feeling and she's just like "Oh are you kidding me? It's boring without school I can't wait."
Don't really know if I'm gonna be hanging out with Hannah that much.

I feel ya. People keep asking me when school starts and I look at them with a blank look on my face, because I'm trying to think about it and remember, and then I realize that I don't know because I don't want to know, so I've never checked. You're going to have a fun school year, though. I think you should write snarky pieces for the school newspaper this year.
I hate it when people count done to school starting. Argh! I'm trying to forget! It's not Christmas or something!
